User polls

Any number of user polls may be defined by a system administrator. These can be used on appropriate site pages to encourage user interaction. After voting on a user poll a user sees the results of votes cast to date. A user cannot vote more than once on the same user poll.

Events calendar

The events calendar is a grid based calendar, showing key events as items in the appropriate month. The events could be financial dates, key meetings, trade shows, product launches or any other categories you wish to define that are appropriate.

Within each of the month areas relevant events that fall within that month are listed. No individual dates appear within the month except as listed against individual events. Clicking on the event causes a short description including key facts, links and contact information, to pop-up in an adjacent area.

An events calendar generated through Immediacy

The site editor may include a link from the event description to more detail, being either an additional page on the site, or an external site. The events calendar display is driven by Meta data and plug-in functionality for easy editing through the CMS. The events listed will roll automatically to show the next twelve months at any given time.

In the display page events will be colour coded according to categories, and a legend will be provided. Categories may be varied or extended by the site editor using the CMS.

The home page may contain a link to this feature. The calendar will likely provide information of interest to many users although it is not strictly a personalisation feature.
