Extensibility
Immediacy's Web Asset Manager
(WAM) has been developed using the Microsoft .NET
framework and therefore has the inherent development
advantages of this technology standard.
Immediacy combines end-user
simplicity with powerful developer controls through its plug-in
architecture. Developers have comprehensive customisation
ability with our WAM including, user event controls, taxonomy
and auto-categorisations, and workflow. Plug-ins can also be
written to manage properties for managing file types or user 'tabs'
to incorporate new functionality into the WAM
interface.
The event-driven interface architecture allows system events
to be programmed for unique functionality. Also, an Anti-Virus (AV)
interface to allow the Immediacy WAM to integrate with any
corporate AV solution and extensible menu items to allow developer
specified actions to be called from the User Interface for specific
documents.
- The Immediacy WAM uses recognised taxonomies and comes
with standard Public Sector taxonomies such as GCL, LGCL and IPSV.
It also allows unique and unlimited taxonomies to be added where
necessary.
- As an extra-cost module the Immediacy WAM will link to the
Immediacy Categorisation module. This allows a document to be
auto-categorised either upon document import or upon request.
