Choice of interfaces

With Microsoft Office®

A full (and optional) set of Office® add-ins are supplied as ActiveX controls to provide seamless connection of the Immediacy WAM with Office®. For example, images can be imported from the Immediacy WAM into an Office® document, and documents can be checked-in, checked-out and saved to the WAM directly from Office® applications.

With other applications

Any Windows application is able to use WebDAV to access a Web folder and therefore will be able to browse and open existing files from the Immediacy WAM and save new files if they have permissions.

With the Immediacy Content Management System (CMS)

Naturally, the WAM offers tight integration with the Immediacy CMS.

  • Link to documents from Web pages – allows documents from the WAM to be retrieved from a website
  • Apply permissions to linked documents - ensures that only authenticated users are allowed to access protected documents and content.
  • Share documents between sites – Allows a single document repository to be shared among multiple websites
  • Link to images – Website images can be maintained in the WAM and automatically updated on the Web as new versions are published in the WAM.
