Immediacy Developer training
CMS Developer Training: 2 days
Who Should Attend
This course is ideally suited those
experienced C#/.NET developers who wish to create their own
customized plug-ins. Attendees will undertake a number of workshops
of increasing complexity leading to the creation of a sample
databound, templated plug-in.
Course Prerequisites
- Experience of ASP.NET, C#, CSS, XHTML,
JavaScript and SQLServer.
- Attendees should also have template creation
experience equivalent to having attended the Design Course.
Aims and Objectives
By the end of this course attendees will have
an understanding of how to:
- Create a Visual Studio project from an Immediacy site
- Create a plugin based on a .NET User control
- Create a plugin based on a .NET Server control
- Create an HTML dialogue for use in the Editor
- Create a Metadata type and dialogue
- Use the support object
- Interrogate the Immediacy Database
- Create a Databound, Templated Control
- Create a Manager Add-In.
This is a highly intensive course designed to
give experienced developers sufficient grounding to be able to
write their own plug-ins. It assumes existing competence in the
areas of .NET and C# coding and the pace reflects this.
Please note: This course is scheduled to run
on a regular basis. However, these courses will only go
ahead if there are sufficient bookings two weeks prior
to the start date to warrant its running. Any delegates booked
on a course that is postponed will be offered alternative
dates.
